KOMPASS Central/Eastern Europe is a directory file that provides business information for over 375,000 companies located in the following countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russian Federation, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine, and Serbia and Montenegro. To access records about companies in Serbia and Montenegro, use E CU=MONTENEGRO or E CU=SERBIA.
The emphasis of the file is on manufacturing, industrial, and associated service sectors. The file uses the Kompass WF10 detailed classification system consisting of product and service descriptions and corresponding codes. See the Related Search Aids section for more information. Product names are searchable and displayable in the file in English, German, French, Spanish, and Italian. Foreign trade status at the product level provides key import and export information. The database is useful for locating business opportunities for distributors, importers, and exporters, as well as manufacturers and suppliers.
Most records include names of key executives, directors, and managers, along with their positions. Information on each company usually includes the following:
