Current Contents Search® is the online version of Thomson Scientific's popular Current Contents® series of publications. Current Contents is a weekly service that reproduces the tables of contents from current issues of leading journals in the sciences, social sciences, and arts and humanities. Current Contents Search consists of seven subsets based on Current Contents editions: *Clinical Medicine (SF=CC CLIN); *Life Sciences (SF=CC LIFE); *Engineering, Technology and Applied Sciences (SF=CC ENGI); *Agriculture, Biology and Environmental Sciences (SF=CC AGRI); *Physical, Chemical and Earth Sciences (SF=CC PHYS); Social and Behavioral Sciences (SF=CC SOCS); and Arts and Humanities (SF=CC ARTS).
In addition to providing access to the tables of contents of the journals covered, Current Contents Search also provides a complete bibliographic record for each item. These items include articles, reviews, letters, notes, and editorials. The items indexed in Current Contents Search also appear in one or more of the other Thomson Scientific databases on DIALOG, where the records include a listing of cited references: Scisearch®, Files 34 & 434; Social Scisearch®, File 7; and Arts & Humanities Search®, File 439.
Author keywords and KeyWords PlusTM are searchable as part of the Basic Index for records from January 1991 forward. In addition, about 75% of the records from the five science CC SEARCH editions asterisked in the list above contain author abstracts from 1991 forward.
