Database Description

FBO Dailytm, published by Loren Data Corp., is the compilation of all notices posted to FedBizOpps; the single point of universal electronic public access on the Internet to government-wide Federal procurement opportunities that exceed $25,000. File 195 is updated daily. This information formerly came through Commerce Business Daily (CBD), however, the U.S. Department of Commerce has now ceased producing CBD but have requested all agencies to send their information to FedBizOpps. The announcements are generally searchable the day after they are published.

The following federal procurement information is included in the file: all proposed procurements of $25,000 or more by civil and military agencies, including potential research interest; all contract awards of $25,000 or more for benefit of potential subcontractors; non-U.S.; special notices; and occasional announcements of business related events, such as procurement conferences and symposia; Web links to solicitation packages, specifications and other related documents.

The new FedBizOpps format includes some records that contain Internet links to more extensive documents that are several megabytes in size. Users can generally cut and paste the links provided within those records into any Internet browser to retrieve the associated documents.

Bluetop records represent a compilation of the daily contract award announcements from the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense (Public Affairs). Bluetop records are only included in the Contract Awards sections.

File 195 contains up 3 months of records. The oldest month's records are transferred to File 194, the historical file, on the first weekend of the month.
