Database Description

The Social SciSearch^® database is an international, multidisciplinary index to the literature of the social, behavioral, and related sciences, produced by Thomson Scientific. Social SciSearch contains all of the records published in the Social Sciences Citation Index.

Social SciSearch offers some unique information retrieval techniques. In addition to the more conventional methods, Social SciSearch offers citation indexing, which permits searching by cited references. For records added since March 1991, author keywords and KeyWords Plus^TM can also be searched.

ONTAP^® Social SciSearch is available for ONline Training And Practice. It contains more than 30,000 selected records from 1984 and 1985.
