With  sales of digital cameras poised to overtake those of film
cameras, and with capabilities advancing, it must be difficult for
even the most die-hard film photographer not to at least consider
switching. If you're thinking about such a move, you should weigh
some of the following reasons for going digital against the
    arguments for sticking with film.

A digital camera registers an image on an electronic sensor and
stores it on a reusable memory card. From there, you can transfer
it to a computer to view, print, or e-mail. The camera's liquid-
crystal display (LCD) lets you review an image seconds after you
capture it and, because a memory card is reusable, erase your
    failures and retake the shot.
