Kompass Western Europe is a directory file that provides information for over 1 million companies in 19 European countries, with an emphasis on manufacturing, industrial, and associated service sectors.

The Kompass Western Europe file includes data about companies from the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom. Records from Liechtenstein can be accessed using S CU=FURSTENTUM LIECHTENSTEIN.

File 590 is indexed with the latest Kompass WF.9 coding system. Product names are displayable and searchable in English, German, French, Spanish, and Italian. Most records include standard business information, including names of key executives with their positions. Product listings have been enhanced for companies from some countries, such as Belgium, France, and Spain so that the key products are listed first. Because of this products are no longer necessarily in strict numerical order.

The key products are listed first, then the product list is separated into 'Key products and services' and 'Other products and services'.

For example, here is an Industry entry for a company from Belgium:

and, another example, which has Industry:
