Mergent^TM China Private Company Database, now closed, provides detailed information on Chinese private and state-owned companies.

The database enables precision research on companies in the People's Republic of China. Information includes company names (including abbreviated and previous names), registration numbers, business descriptions and industries, product and brand names, executives and key contact names, and, for many companies, up to three years of financial data

Financial data is included if, in the most recent year, a figure other than '0' is available for three key financial items: Sales, Total Assets, and Total Liabilities. If these are not available for the most recent year, we check the previous year and the third year. If these items are unavailable in all three years, then the financial information is suppressed entirely, but core company information is retained.

A /FINANCIAL limit is available to identify records containing financial information.

Data is collected and compiled by Mergent Inc.'s content specialists who then further review and enhance it to ensure accuracy and completeness.
