Thomas Register Online^®, Dialog file 535, corresponds to the Thomas Register of American Manufacturers, which has been for over 95 years a premier source of product information for U.S. and Canadian manufacturing companies. The database currently contains information for approximately 171,000 companies from volumes 1-24 of the Thomas Register.

• The Thomas Register Online database covers approximately 174,000 companies, both public and private, classified under more than 72,000 product and service classes, and more than 152,000 brand names. Records include company name, address, telephone number, facsimile number, Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) codes, product category, asset rating, number of employees in ranges, officers and staff members, company type, trade status, and demographic "clustering" descriptors.
• The Thomas Register of American Manufacturers provides information on practically every product and service available in the U.S. and Canada, including those related to high technology, genetic engineering, and biotechnology, as well as the industrial sector. Software, computer hardware, and electronic products are a particular strength. Extensive product and services classification enables users to find critical components, locate suppliers, and track down brand names. Other Thomas publications are included to broaden coverage.
