Ulrich's Periodicals Directory^TM, produced by CSA, is a unique, current, comprehensive, and continuously updated source of information on over 280,000 periodicals and serials from 90,000 publishers in over 200 countries. Annuals, continuations, and conference proceedings are included, as well as academic/scholarly publications, trade publications, consumer magazines, newsletters and bulletins, and titles that have ceased publication since 1974.

Basic information for each publication includes title, status, publisher name, address and telephone numbers, editor, year first published, ISSN, Dewey Decimal and Library of Congress classification numbers, and British Library Shelf Mark. Additional information includes A&I services, abstracts, advertising rates, circulation, document type, document suppliers, frequency, online and CD-ROM availability, rights and permissions contacts, special features, subject headings and subject codes, subscription and price information, and other data.

Ulrich's Periodicals Directory^TM is used to produce the print title of the same name.

Subject Coverage [top]

The database contains over 280,000 regularly published and irregularly issued periodicals under over 960 subject headings, including more than 22,000 refereed or peer-reviewed journals. Over 800 abstracting and indexing services are identified in the database. Additionally, it contains 18,000 e-mail addresses and 100,000 URLs (Uniform Resource Locators on the World Wide Web) for publisher sites and individual journals.
