Ulrich's Periodicals Directory^TM, produced by ProQuest, is a unique and comprehensive source of information on over 336,000 periodicals and serials from 90,000 publishers in over 215 countries. Annuals, continuations, and conference proceedings are included, as well as academic/scholarly publications, trade publications, consumer magazines, newsletters and bulletins, and titles that have ceased publication since 1974.

The Dialog file contains the November 2011 edition.

Basic information for each publication includes primary title, publisher, language, publication frequency, Ulrich’s subject, and Dewey Decimal Number. Additional information includes document type, online availability, A&I services, publication status, list price data, Library of Congress classification numbers and special features.

Ulrich's Periodicals Directory^TM is used to produce the annual print title of the same name and is a component of the Ulrichsweb^TM Global Serials Directory.

The database contains over 216,000 actively published print, microform and electronic serials and information on more than 80,000 ceased and suspended publications. Ulrich’s subjects cover more than 800 subject areas. Academic and scholarly, consumer, trade and business-to-business periodicals are included, as are newspapers and newsletters, bulletins and conference proceedings.
