| them as gifts. These efforts were assembled in a scrapbook and prompted | |
| Kennedy to have a lifelong passion for poetry. In an interview, she | |
| discusses such subjects as the role of poetry in her own life and that of | |
| her family, the criteria she used to select the poems for the children's | |
| collection she edited, the role of poetry in schools, and the part she | |
