  /LP,/TX  Let the festival begin.

D-Day is finally here for Festival Marketplace Mall, the new
incarnation of the old Forum 303 Mall on Texas 360 in Arlington,
debuting today at 10 a.m. after months of retooling and a $4 million
    face lift.

/TX     The concept features several city blocks of "new-merchandise-only"
    booths with below-outlet prices.

Yesterday, workers were still bustling to put the finishing
touches on the place, as dozens of merchants feverishly assembled
shop fixtures and priced merchandise.  Some of the elements, such as
flooring improvements and a 300-seat food court, had a ways to go.

But the "booths," which are more like mini retail shops, were ready
    to rock and roll.

As of Wednesday, 372 out of 469 spaces were leased, not counting
several new permanent sites such as Amazon Pets and Red Radish Soups.

Shoppers will traverse "streets" with such festive names such as
Mardi Gras, Acapulco and Celebration, shopping in an eclectic mix of
booths ranging from the amusing to the amazing.

The Pickle Cottage, El Nino Hand Made Gifts, Future World, Dor `El
Lingerie Co., The Blasted Glass, Bag Corner, Flickering Flames,
