| /LP,/TX | Let the festival begin. |
| D-Day is finally here for Festival Marketplace Mall, the new | |
| incarnation of the old Forum 303 Mall on Texas 360 in Arlington, | |
| debuting today at 10 a.m. after months of retooling and a $4 million | |
| face lift. | |
| /TX | The concept features several city blocks of "new-merchandise-only" |
| booths with below-outlet prices. | |
| Yesterday, workers were still bustling to put the finishing | |
| touches on the place, as dozens of merchants feverishly assembled | |
| shop fixtures and priced merchandise. Some of the elements, such as | |
| flooring improvements and a 300-seat food court, had a ways to go. | |
| But the "booths," which are more like mini retail shops, were ready | |
| to rock and roll. | |
| As of Wednesday, 372 out of 469 spaces were leased, not counting | |
| several new permanent sites such as Amazon Pets and Red Radish Soups. | |
| Shoppers will traverse "streets" with such festive names such as | |
| Mardi Gras, Acapulco and Celebration, shopping in an eclectic mix of | |
| booths ranging from the amusing to the amazing. | |
