The DIALOG® Bluesheets database contains records representing the Bluesheet documentation issued for all databases on DIALOG. All databases are represented, including bibliographic files, complete text files, menu-driven files, and gateway services. Each record represents a Bluesheet and contains traditional page one information listing a file description, subject coverage, sources, file data, origin, and legal terms and conditions. Sample records are included in Format 9, along with all searchable indexes, display codes, field names, examples, sorts, limits, report fields, predefined formats, and direct record access information. For menu-driven files, sample menus are included, along with a brief description of the service/menu system.
Source information for the DIALOG Bluesheets database is derived from printed "Bluesheet" documentation. Additional information not found on the printed Bluesheets is also included, such as availability of DIALOG AlertSM service, Classroom Instruction Program databases, type of data in the file, document types indexed in the database represented, DIALINDEX category acronyms, and annual accession number ranges for files having accession number limits.
