BioCommerce Data's Biotechnology Directory is a database concerned with the business aspects of biotechnology and the commercial applications of biological sciences worldwide. The organization profile records contain directory-style entries on organizations located throughout the world. File 286 currently contains two types of records, organization profile and abstract records. As of August 2004 File 286 will update with organization profile records only. The archive of abstracts will remain in the file, but no further abstract updates will be added. To reflect this change, the name of the database has changed to BioCommerce Data's Biotechnology Directory.

BioCommerce Data's Biotechnology Directory is ideal for competitor monitoring, business planning, investment analysis, identifying product licensing opportunities, science and policy studies, and monitoring legislation and case law in this field.
