The Bowker Biographical Directory database is an authoritative collection of biographical directories, each of which is indexed as a separate subfile (SF=). The database corresponds to the following printed publications:
American Men & Women Of Science (AMWS)-- Covers leading U.S. and Canadian scientists and engineers in the physical, biological, and related sciences.
Who's Who in American Politics (WWAP)-- Covers American political decision-makers at all levels, from federal to local government.
Who's Who in American Art (WWAA)-- Covers North American artists, critics, curators, administrators, librarians, historians, collectors, and dealers.
Data is obtained directly from biographees through a questionnaire process.
