File Description [top]

Pharm-line® is a bibliographic database produced by hospital information pharmacists in the U.K. National Health Service, covering pharmacy practice, the clinical use of drugs, and related fields. Descriptors used in indexing the records are from the Pharm-line Thesaurus.

The information in this database will be of interest to pharmacists in both hospital and community practice, other health professionals, health administrators, researchers, students, colleges of pharmacy and the pharmaceutical industry.

Approximately 100 English-language pharmacy and medical journals are abstracted regularly; both refereed papers and unrefereed contributions such as letters and news reports are included if they contain new and relevant information. About 75% of Pharm-line records include abstracts written pharmacists at the U.K. National Health Service.
