The Insurance Periodicals Index (IPI) database indexes and abstracts 35 of the most respected and widely-read insurance industry journals and magazines. Periodicals covered are from January 1984 to November 1999. The IPI indexes all significant articles--not just selected items. A controlled vocabulary of index terms which reflects current insurance industry terminology is used to index the file. Indexing is performed by members of the Insurance & Employee Benefits Division of the Special Libraries Association, librarians and information specialists at major U.S. and Canadian insurance companies, brokerages, and institutions. The IPI database is produced by NILS Publishing Company, Inc., a Capital Cities/ABC, Inc. Company.
