File Description [top]

Gale Group Legal Resource IndexTM (LRI) is the most comprehensive index available to the legal literature of the English-speaking world. It provides subject, author, case name, and statute name access to over 700 journals from the major nations of the common-law tradition. All material of permanent reference value from each journal is indexed. Special article types covered include case notes, book reviews, columns, letters, obituaries, and editorials. Non-analytical reports and digests of cases, minor personnel notes, association announcements, and news items of no value to the legal researcher are excluded.

Gale Group Legal Resource Index, produced by the Gale Group, provides access to valuable information for both the legal professional and for all researchers who wish to investigate the legal aspects of any topic. For legal professionals, LRI provides access to information on developing legal trends, extensive background information necessary to gain familiarity with unfamiliar areas of law, and historical analyses of cases. For the business or general researcher, LRI provides access to articles that analyze the legal aspects of mergers and acquisitions, taxation, environmental hazards, and issues such as legal ethics and criminal justice. Daily updates of LRI are searchable in Gale Group NEWSEARCHTM, File 211.
