The Gale Group National Newspaper IndexTM provides front-to-back indexing of the Christian Science Monitor, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal. Sources also include PR Newswire, Japan Economic Newswire, Reuters Financial Report, The New York Times Book Review, and The New York Times Magazine. All articles, news reports, editorials, letters to the editor, obituaries, product evaluations, biographical pieces, poetry, recipes, columns, cartoons and illustrations, and reviews are included. The only items not included are weather charts, stock market tables, crossword puzzles, and horoscopes. In addition, the Gale Group National Newspaper Index indexes national and international news stories written by the staff writers of the Washington Post and the Los Angeles Times. Other types of articles from these two papers are indexed selectively.

The Gale Group National Newspaper Index, particularly useful for answering general news and business questions, provides a valuable adjunct in such areas as market research, public relations, government relations, journalism, food and nutrition, and the social sciences.

- electronically store in machine-readable form for longer than fifteen (15) days records or data retrieved for internal redistribution under the DIALOG redistribution feature (non-archival storage use).

- redistribute, copy or electronically store (REDIST, COPIES or ARCHIVE commands) materials retrieved from the Newsletter DatabaseTM.
